CALL FOR PAPERS

The symposium aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for current research on modern interiors in Türkiye. We invite submissions focusing on the design solutions of modern interiors across various building types, their evaluation through contemporary discussions and approaches, and their interdisciplinary expansions and representations.

Contributions are welcomed on, but not limited to, the following themes:

Building Types: Modern spatial experiences in private and public buildings with residential, tourism, health, sports, administrative, industrial, recreational, cultural etc. functions

Contemporary Discussions/Approaches: Methodological and theoretical approaches in the historiography of the modern interior, its preservation and sustainability, its interpretation through digital technology

D isciplines: Interdisciplinary expansions in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, cinema, literature, media, fashion, graphics, communication etc. in readings of the modern interior

Participation Conditions and Process:

​

• Applications must be submitted via e-mail to “docomomotrint@gmail.com” no later than March 23, 2026, by 23:59.

• Participants are expected to submit a paper abstract of 750-1000 words prepared according to the “Paper Abstract Format”, 3-5 keywords, a bibliography, and an image related to the research.

• The results of the accepted applications will be announced on April 17, 2026.

• Certificates of participation will be awarded to all researchers whose work is presented at the event.

• Only the papers presented at the event will be included in the Book of Abstracts.

• A selection of the presented papers will be published as a book following the symposium.
